The sun has come out to play and we're sure you’re ready to get out and soak up all the vitamin D you can get! Don’t leave the house without making a drink that’ll sustain and refresh you in the heat of the day (and the chaos of schedules and life).
We wanted to highlight on some of the ingredients we have included in these delicious nonalcoholic drinks, just for your basic knowledge and so you can feel great about making these for your next gathering!
HERE'S THE 101:
Grapefruits: Contains Vitamins A, B1, B5, and C; fiber, carbohydrates, potassium, biotin, antioxidants such as naringenin and lycopene; phytonutrients such as limonoids; and small doses of minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and calcium.
Mangos: Contains Vitamins A&C; flavonoids such as betacarotene, alphacarotene, and beta-cryptoxanthin. These things have been known to aid in a healthy immune system, healthy vision, and lower cholesterol. Want to geek out a bit more? Read this study.
GRAPEFRUIT GINGER ROSEMARY SPRITZER
INGREDIENTS (per glass)
Non-flavored La Croix or Club Soda
1 drop Rosemary Vitality Essential Oil
1 cup of grapefruit juice
1 teaspoon of ginger syrup
DIRECTIONS
Pour grapefruit juice, then add 1 drop of Rosemary Vitality Essential Oil and teaspoon of ginger syrup– mix to dissolve.
Pour in La Croix to fill cup.
Garnish with rosemary and grapefruit slices if you'd like!
STRAWBERRY LIME BASIL SPRITZER
INGREDIENTS (per glass)
Non-flavored La Croix or Club Soda
1 drop Lime Vitality Essential Oil
1 drop Basil Vitality Essential Oil
Fresh strawberries halved
1 tablespoon of local honey
DIRECTIONS
Mix strawberries and honey on low stovetop in a saucepan.
Once finished and bubbly, let it cool for a bit.
Mix in the strawberry honey mixture in a cup and top with La Croix.
Add drops of Lime and Basil Vitality Essential Oils and mix.
Top with ice if you'd like.
ORANGE STRAWBERRY MANGO SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS
5 drops of orange EO
1 cup of frozen strawberries
1 cup of frozen mangos
1 cup of almond milk
1 tablespoon of flax seed
DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients in blender until well blended.
Add ice as needed.
